Lisa Friedman,
Executive Producer
A
fifth-generation Savannahian, documentarian Lisa Friedman is a Los Angeles-based
voiceover artist and actress. She is the narrator for Intimate Portrait
on Lifetime Television, announcer for Weakest Link on NBC syndicated,
and the image voice for A Baby Story on the Learning Channel. She was
the operations manager of the Maui Music Festival, programming and production
manager for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida, and The Alex Theatre in Glendale, California. She is a member
of resident acting companies in Los Angeles, which include The Sanford
Meisner Center and Playwrights Kitchen Ensemble. She's also a member
of Acme Acting Company and New Theatre in Miami and The Academy Theatre
in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mary Jacobson,
Assistant to the Producer
Mary
Jacobson is a journalist with more than 15 years experience reporting,
editing and managing in the newsroom. Her past assignments in both print
and online media include crime reporting, investigative research, column
writing and human interest features. She has published articles on topics
ranging from murder and natural disasters to dating. She was managing
editor for a nonprofit website designed to help working journalists
understand complex subject matter, including a section on Kosovo and
the Balkans that garnered international praise. She earned her M.S.
in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism
and her B.A. in humanities from the University of Louisville. She is
a native of Louisville, KY.

Platt, Unit Stills Photographer
Antony
Platt, a native of Southport, England, got his break in still photography
music videos capturing moments with Billy Joel and the Aerosmith/RUN-DMC
collaboration "Walk This Way." He worked in motion pictures
with directors as diverse as Jonathan Demme, Jerry Zucker and Sidney
Lumet. His film and television credits include work with Harry Connick,
Jr., James Earl Jones and Ron Perlman. Recent indie projects "Boys
on the Run," directed by Pol Crutchen, and the Hugh Wilson/John
Grisham collaboration "Mickey."

David Kimelman,
Director of Photography
David
Kimelman grew up on St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. He graduated
from Emerson College in Boston and embarked on a career in video and
film production that has spanned 20 years. As President of Beachchair
Productions, Inc. he has directed hundreds of commercial and corporate
projects in a variety of industries from healthcare to fitness to marine
to fashion. David is an internationally recognized steadicam operator
with credits including Coca Cola, Mercedes Benz, Aerosmith, U2 and Rod
Stewart. Married to Producer, Susan Kimelman, for 13 years their two
most brilliant creations are Marley and Wiley.
Pierre
Clavel, Lighting Director
Pierre
Clavel, a man who can find light anywhere, has designed lights and scenery
for theatre and live events and shot film and video for productions
around the country. His lighting design for Skin, Dallas Theater Center,
by Naomi Izuka, won Best Play of the Year. He was videographer for a
documentary on the purgatoire valley in Colorado, production manager
for the New Pickle Circus, project manager for the Star Wars: Episode
I wrap party, and stage manager for the Maui Music Festival 2000.
Fil Ruting,
Editor
Born in
Sydney, Australia, Fil Ruting achieved a BVA from Sydney College of
the Arts SCA, BFA and MFA from California Art Institute.
As an installation
artist in interactive video, Fil Ruting began a career editing for Artist’s
and documentary filmmakers. His work includes the award winning PBS
Documentary series, “Preserving the Legacy, “The Examined
Life” and the Drama series “On Common Ground” for
PBS. “Bible and Gun” for IFC, “Hard to Say”
and “Soccer Dog the Movie” for Columbia Tri-Star and commercials
for Dodge, Gravity Games, LOX, Miller Brewing and Amgen. “Wayne
Williams and the Atlanta Child Murders” for the Series Mugshots
-Court TV. “Funny Old Guys” for HBO and “Senior Year”
for PBS.
Fil has
edited projects for artists with video and film work exhibited in museums
and galleries around the world including MOCA, Kunsthalle Berlin, TATE,
Frankfurt Museum, The Walker, Sydney MCA, Whitney, and Basel Art Fair.
His own
work is exhibited in galleries, museums, Art Films and Video Events
in Los Angles, Europe and Australia. He has also produced a DVD interactive
magazine on Los Angeles Art called “GUIDE”.
